Education & Work Experience

I received a Bachelor of Science in Ministry from St. Louis Christian College and have been in the ministry 29 years with the last 11 years at Altamont Christian Church. I have served as Camp Dean at Bond Christian Service Camp in Bond County and Oil Belt Christian Service Camp in Flora.

I grew up in Kinmundy and am a Timothy of Brown Christian Church.

My wife Dawn and I have been married 27 years. We have three children: Hannah (25), Abby (21) and Levi (16) a junior at Salem Community High School. Dawn is not only my life partner, but my partner in ministry as well. She loves working in the children’s department.

I love to fish and hunt.

What is your role at ECC?

Administrative Assistant.

During my 27+ years at Evergreen I have seen many changes in the church, the people, the building and the ministry, but I am thankful that one thing never changes ~ Jesus is the same... yesterday, today and forever! I do not consider this a job, but a ministry in serving God and His people at Evergreen.

I have been married to Virgil for forty-nine years. We have a daughter-in-law, Eydee, who has blessed us with two precious granddaughters, Ellee, a sophomore at Salem Community High School, and Adelynn, a fifth grader at Franklin Park Middle School..

I try to use my free time for the Lord: making greeting cards for birthdays and anniversaries of Evergreeners, tending to the flowers around the ECC sign, and motorcycling to enjoy God's beautiful creation.
